The Concept:

Loft @ Malo is a private room created by the family behind Baqueano Steakhouse & Malo Empanadas.

Situated moments from Brighton’s seafront and the historic Lanes, we are located on the first floor of Malo Empanadas and we can accommodate from 6 to 14 guests. We are open for dinner every evening from 6pm to 10pm. Booking is required.

The focus of the experience involves cooking your own steak, at your table, on an individual volcanic hot stone, a method that was first used centuries ago. The hot stone style of cooking allows each diner to cook their steak exactly as you like, keeping every bite as hot and tasty as the first. The steak is sourced by our steakhouse Baqueano Brighton, where we work with the best meat. Coming straight from Argentina, all our meats are premium quality, grass-fed Angus- breed that stand out for its softness and juiciness thanks to its 45-day wet-aging process.

The room is very bright with a wall of windows facing the main street, and the other walls are inspired by the colours and the artwork of La Boca quarter in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

The menu is a Set Menu characterised by the signature flavours of our home country. To pair your dinner, we offer a handpicked selection of Argentinian drinks wines, beer and cocktails, as well as soft drinks and juices.

Booking conditions:

We open every day from 6pm. As it is a private room, there is a minimum booking of 6 people, and maximum of 14. No booking fee and no minimum spent required.

Please be aware we solely run a Set Menu at The Loft and unfortunately do not offer a children's menu.

Please note, we are unable to offer a vegetarian or vegan menu as the main product is steak. If you do have any allergies, please check with us before making a booking. 

How to book: 

Email us at loft@malobrighton.co.uk. Please include date and time, and number of people. We will get back to you within 24 hours. 

A deposit of £15 per person will be required to secure the booking which will then be deducted from your bill when you visit us.
